Homemade Peanut Brittle
| 3 cups |
- raw peanuts |
1. Cook sugar, syrup and water until it begins to spin a thread. 2. Add raw peanuts and cook until its a golden brown color. 3. Take from heat; add butter and soda and stir vigorously. 4. Pour onto two buttered cookie sheet. 5. Flatten with spatula to peanut's height. 6. Let candy cool and break into large pieces |

- white Karo syrup |
| 1/2 cup |
- water |
| 2 tsp. |
- fresh baking soda |
| 3 tsp. |
- butter |
Peanut Patties
| 2 1/2 cups |
- pure cane sugar |
1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot. 2. Cook slowly on medium heat until mixture forms a soft ball when dropped into cool water. 3. Take off heat and add 4 Tbsp. butter, a few drops of red food coloring, and 1 cup powdered sugar. 4. Stir vigorously until it begins to thicken. 5. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper or a buttered cookie sheet. 6. Allow plenty of room to spread. 7. Flatten with spatula to peanut's height. |
